Nomad will be canceled with issue #25, so it is time once again to sneakily release the just-in-case fill-in a few issues before the end of the series.
Actually, i could be wrong about that. The editorial note is a little contradictory, saying that the book is cancelled because Fabian Nicieza didn't have time for it, but Neil Hansen was going to be the new writer, but the book was cancelled anyway.
Nomad is hitchhiking in Florida and making interesting friends.
One of his rides tells him about a women named Carina who is abused by her brothers. Jack agrees to help out and winds up in another strange situation.
The subsequent fight attracts the attention of the Man-Thing.
Carina thinks the Man-Thing is her friend.
Nomad thinks the Man-Thing has kidnapped her and tries to stop it.
But he eventually realizes the Man-Thing is trying to protect Carina. He's overwhelmed by the Man-Thing but he relaxes and it loses interest in him, and carries Carina into the swamp.
I mean, yeah, go ahead and cancel the book.
