Review/plot:
Issue #111 ended right after Luke & Danny learned that Bobby Wright/Captain Hero was dying. It seemed like he was going to be shipped off to Project Pegasus. But in this issue it turns out that Luke & Danny kept him around for "four days while Project Pegasus gets its act together". Now it's time for him to actually go, and Danny promises to visit him while he's there. Luke, on the other hand, has been fighting with Bobby the whole time and he's happy to see him go.

(Now, if Bobby has been around Cage and Fist for the past four days, you'd think that if he was really the Super-Skrull and was working for Master Khan to kill Danny, he would have found a way to do so during that time. But i guess i have to let it go...)

Since Pegasus is a highly restricted area, Danny needs an "in" so he goes to the Falcon for help. The Falcon used to run the Shield Super-Agents that (Danny says) turned into Project Pegasus. Christopher Priest does a good job writing the Falcon in his social worker role.

While Danny's occupied with that, Luke Cage notices another child get kidnapped. The people taking her claim to be government agents, but later Luke is contacted by a man named Gordy, agent of SMILE, and manipulated into going after the girl, Sally McRae.

A note in the lettercol says "Next issue, Danny returns to New York just in time to get seriously hassled by Gordy. (You met him in issue #12. You probably didn't like him.)" I'm assuming they mean this issue, #112. Not Hero For Hire #12. But even assuming a typo, it's an odd way to refer to the current issue. Still, the MCP doesn't list Gordy appearing prior to this issue.

The kidnappers are a group called Control 7.

The girl manages to give them the slip. She's on her way to Chicago to see her hero, the football player Bad Ned - who also endorses quiche.

Luke follows her, protecting her from more attempts from Control 7 along the way, and eventually she gets to meet her hero.

While Sally's hanging out with Ned, Luke calls Danny at Pegasus to find out how Bobby is doing, showing that he cares after all.

A little too silly at times, a little too sentimental at times, but a good issue.
