Review/plot:
The Heroes for Hire get a gig performing at and protecting a car show. One of the cars on display is the Fantasticar. A group of criminals attempt to steal the Fantasticar and Luke and Danny stop them.

The mundane nature of the venue and the crime actually works to the book's advantage, as it presents Power Man and Iron Fist as very down to Earth super-types, not dealing with cosmic adventures or world threatening menaces. At the same time it's also a little hokey.

It's also interesting in that the brains behind the car thieves is the guy who tried to invade the Avengers Mansion with a goon in an old suit of armor and got trounced by Captain America a long time ago.

Comments

Frank Robbins was supposed to take over the art with this issue, but I'm guessing Jim Shooter saw the reaction to his one Daredevil issue and vetoed it.

Ironically, with his cartoony scribblings, Elias was almost interchangeable!
