Review/plot:
The leader of a paramilitary group recognizes Luke Cage in a fancy restaurant and assumes (wrongly) that Cage is after him.

He attacks Cage (and Danny) but fails to hurt him, and the man is taken to prison. Dishonored because he was defeated by a black man, he kills himself. The cover shows him having committed suicide with a gun, but in the story, it's actually poison from a minion's hollow tooth.

To regain their leader's honor, the rest of the paramilitary group try to kill Luke and Danny.

They fail, and they all take cyanide capsules themselves.

It's a weird story. Not really fleshed out very well. And i'm really not liking Cowan's chicken-scratch artwork.

On the plus side, this issue does feature Luke Cage in a puffy coat. He's wearing it to hide a bulletproof vest; protection against the soldiers' armor piercing rounds.

Comments

I'm surprised no connection was made between the paramilitary group and Cage's old foe Mace.
