Review/plot:
This is a fun issue with Power Man & Iron Fist having been hired to ensure that Hammerhead is transported to a new prison facility...

...while the Eel (a new one) and Man-Mountain Marko try to break him out.

There's a small scene where Danny gets distracted on a moving truck while fighting the slippery Eel.

The slip up will actually cause Danny to perform some additional training in future issues. It's a small touch, but it's pretty cool.

Meanwhile, Colleen Wing and Bob Diamond get it on.

It's a relatively generic story that follows a formula similar to past PM&IF stories, but Busiek writes it well, with some neat twists and witty dialogue.

  • Hammerhead was captured by the Human Torch in Fantastic Four #233. He escaped at the end of that issue, but it's said here he was captured again soon afterward.
  • Harmony decides to go on a date with someone named Ernie, justifying it because Luke went out with Claire Temple in Power Man & Iron Fist #83.

Comments

I dislike when villains are caught "off-panel". It was clear that Hammerhead escaped from the torch in his last appearance. The only reason the cops "caught" him was so that he could be the prisoner this issue.

other than that, a fun issue.
