Review/plot:
This issue is in the immediate aftermath of the Punisher's seeming death. Micro and Mickey Fondozzi are on the run from the police. VIGIL's Lt. Blackwell doesn't believe that the Punisher is dead and is running into conflict with the FBI and local authorities. And we meet some of the people that will be replacement Punishers. The first is Dean Swaybrick, a spoiled rich guy who sees the Punisher's death as a business opportunity.

He's never officially called this, but he's apparently known to fans as the Yuppunisher.

And apparently, even though she only quit the police last chapter, Lynn Michaels is already known as the "Lady Punisher" (she's not home and doesn't get caught by VIGIL).

Over in England, Outlaw hears the news of the Punisher's death and decides to head to the US.

And Jimmy Pierce, a member of the Cullen crime gang, is forced by his uncle Tommy to "become" a Punisher. The idea is that other gangs can be forced into bowing to them if it's thought that the Punisher is working for them. He'll be known, also unofficially, as Hitman Punisher.

VIGIL also pays a visit to Payback.

Lynn Michaels shows up to help him escape from the increasingly unhinged Lt. Blackwell.

Blackwell later fires missiles from a helicopter to speed up the excavation efforts at Manhattan Tower (he gets chewed out, but, amazingly, not suspended for that). Earlier we saw that the Punisher was still alive under the rubble, but he passed out. And after the missiles, his body is (seemingly) found.

The scorecard this issue says Punisher: 67, Bad Guys 1 (?), VIGIL: 0.
