Punisher: G-Force

Issue(s): Punisher: G-Force
Cover Date: 1992
Title: "G-Force"
Credits:
Mike Baron - Writer
Hugh Haynes - Penciler
Jimmy Palmiotti & Ken Branch - Inker
Tim Tuohy - Assistant Editor
Don Daley - Editor

Review/plot:
The Punisher has done a lot of outrageous stuff, but training to become an astronaut so that he can go up to a space station to kill a drug dealer is at the top of the list.

He then blasts the dealer's drug lab from space.

Kind of awesome, but it's a long hard slog to get to this. This is a 48 page oneshot, so there is a lot of time to fill before we get to the payoff, and the majority of the story is pretty generic stuff. Not typical for Mike Baron, who is usually better at keeping the Punisher interesting.

Chronological Placement Considerations: Micro has a beard in this story...

...which may mean it was meant to take place soon after Punisher #53-59 when Micro grew a beard for disguise purposes. It's probably not important, but since there's nothing else dictating placement, i might as well line it up with that. That does mean it will have to wait until after Punisher #60-62, since between #59 and #62, Punisher is disguised as a black man.

References:

  • To infiltrate a gang on his way to finding the drug dealer he's after, the Punisher has to take some drugs. The Punisher recalls when The Trust made him take drugs in the original Punisher miniseries.

G-Force? As in Godzilla will co-star, oh never mind.

Well I stumbled over my old comicbook collection and found this issue of the Punisher G-Force.

I got the autographs from Mike Baron and Jimmy Palmiotti on the cover.

Andddd I was wondering if anyone could make up for a value of it? Because I have absolutely no clue whatsoever.
