Review/plot:
The neighboring countries of Symkaria and Latveria are allies because Latveria helped Symkaria during World War II. So Silver Sable has an annual dinner with Dr. Doom. But Doom has already left for the Infinity War at this point, so Sable winds up meeting with his doppelganger instead.

Sable soon figures out that something is wrong, and goes on the run in Doom's castle, disguising herself as a Doombot.

Eventually it all gets sorted thanks to some help from the Wild Pack.

Some random notes: 1) the Doompeldanger intended to take over Transia (home of Wundagore) after Symkaria. 2) Sandman is also attacked and briefly replaced by a doppelganger. 3) Battlestar learns that Powell is a bigot in this arc. Other than that, there's nothing really noteworthy here. It's a decent adventure story for Silver Sable, and probably a fair introduction to her book for people coming in because of the Infinity War tie-in. It's nothing special, though.

Chronological Placement Considerations: A footnote at the beginning of issue #4 says that this story takes place during issues #2 & #3 of Infinity War. But a footnote at the beginning of issue #5, which continues directly, says that it takes place during issue #4. We can assume that the story takes place concurrently with all three issues. We do see the real Dr. Doom, with Kang, at several points in the story, paralleling events from Infinity War. So i've listed Doom and Kang as characters appearing. However, i've treating a final panel showing the heroes gathered on Galactus' ship as conceptual and not listing all those characters.

References:

  • Silver Sable hopes that Dr. Doom would know something about Dmitri Petrovitch's association with Hydra, as seen in Silver Sable & the Wild Pack #1.
