Review/plot:
The second Kree-Skrull War continues. There has been a lull while the Kree gather their forces and make their way to Shalla Bal. In the meantime, the Skrull Empress, S'Byll, is gaining more control over her new shapeshifting powers...

...and the Super-Skrull is in the unusual position of being thought of as a hero.

Meanwhile, the plants on Zenn-La continue trying to tell Shalla Bal that Nenora, the current head of the Kree empire, is really a Skrull.

But she doesn't get the message yet.

Since we're spending some time on Zenn-La, i wonder what happened to the Obliterator, who i thought was stranded there in Silver Surfer #21. No mention of him, though.

Finally, the Kree arrive. You can see Englehart really pushing the idea that the Skrulls are reptiles.

As the battle rages in space...

...we see that Nenora is coordinating everything with some virtual reality goggles.

The Surfer eventually realizes that and, after some effort, manages to penetrate her ship's forcefield to talk to her. He convinces her that he was tricked when he attacked the Kree's Badoon allies last issue. Nenora says that due to Kree politics and chauvinism, she's unable to accept that his attack was a mistake. But she can agree to leave Zenn-La out of it.

So she'll continue to attack him while leaving Zenn-La alone, but only if he agrees to leave Zenn-La and never go back to it seeking sanctuary.

The Surfer goes back to Zenn-La to explain the changed situation, and everyone agrees it's a very un-Kree-like decision on Nenora's part.

Also in this issue, the mysterious cloaked figure that's been trying to get Clumsy Foulup to betray Reptyl shows his face to Clumsy this issue, but we don't see it. And then at the end of the issue, Nenora gets a message that Clumsy wants to sell out the Skrulls. Not that we've seen him being in a position to do that yet.

Oh no, he's spilling into the main plot, you guys!

Chronological Placement Considerations: It's been "days" since S'Byll gained her shape-shifting ability. Next issue begins an indeterminate amount of time later, with at least enough time having passed to allow the Skrulls to have surfed with the alien back to S'Byll's home planet of Satriani.
