Strange Tales #129 (Dr. Strange)

Issue(s): Strange Tales #129 (Dr. Strange story only)
Cover Date: Feb 65
Title: "Beware of Tiboro! The Tyrant of the Sixth Dimension"
Credits:
Don Rico - Writer
Steve Ditko - Penciler
Steve Ditko - Inker

Review/plot:
Dr. Strange refuses to go on a television show to prove that magic is real. The show panelists mess with a magic device...

...and get sucked into another dimension. Dr. Strange fights an extra-dimensional tyrant called Tiboro...

...to rescue them, but prevents them from remembering the event.

The art in this issue was particularly awesome.

Golden Age writer Don Rico writes this issue. It's the first time Stan Lee wasn't involved as a creator in the Dr. Strange book.

Dr. Strange not only makes people forget, he turns back time to the moment when the panelists get sucked in - for the whole world. as a proponent of the "you can't travel in time on your own timeline" rule, i hope he doesn't do this too often.

Rico also did a couple of Iron Man issues under the pseudonym N. Korok around this time.

For those looking for information on Don Rico, there are a couple of good pieces in Alter Ego #114. It was there that Roy Thomas half-jokingly suggested that the name Tiboro was derived from the Triboro Bridge.

You beat me to that tidbit, Mr. Herman.

I think Stan had more fun writing up the lettering credits! And, who's "Craig", anyway..?
