Thunderstrike #12Issue(s): Thunderstrike #12 Review/plot: I originally thought that someone had just hit it with spray paint, but apparently the idea is that those portions of the building have been erased completely. The person responsible is Whyteout. He's got a grudge against the company Skyways Express because his family was killed in a plane crash. Thunderstrike is going through some family troubles of his own: his ex-wife's husband Bobby Steele is possibly getting transferred to the West coast and if so his son Kevin will have to move too. So he feels sympathy for Whyteout and hesitates, allowing Whyteout the opportunity to Whyte him out. I immediately thought of the Living Eraser once i found out what Whyteout was about, but it turns out that Whyteout doesn't really erase things; it's just a visual effect. Nonetheless, Thunderstrike blunders out a window. He's found by Stellaris. Whyteout later attacks the airport, causing all kinds of mayhem. Reminds me of Alpha Flight #6. Thunderstrike summons lightning, destroying Whyteout's technology and ending the threat. But then Bloodaxe shows up and kills him. Bloodaxe then teleports away. At the end of the episode, Stellaris, calling herself Leah Princess, shows up to apply as a third roomate at Eric and Samantha Joyce's apartment. I still think it would have been cooler if Whyteout's power was that he tapped into the same abilities that Living Eraser used. But his powers still allowed for some unusual visuals. CommentsWhat the hell is that giant fly doing on Eric's shirt? Posted by: Andrew | February 23, 2018 12:32 PM Also, what the hell is that mullet doing on Eric's head? Doesn't he know it's 1994? Get the man a bowl cut. Posted by: Bonez | February 23, 2018 1:47 PM So, the parts of the building have gone completely missing, even though the effect is indistinguishable from being spray paint, but it's not a coloring error because it's inherent in Whyteout's name and modus operandi that his effect is specifically white, but it's still only a "visual effect"? My God, I've gone crosseyed. Posted by: Morgan Wick | February 23, 2018 6:28 PM It's cute to see Thunderstrike borrowing one of Storm's earrings.
