Review/plot:
It's a little too 'comic book-y' for Betty Brant's Dark Secret to wind up being resolved in a super-powered fight, but this is still an ok story. Gordon "The Terrier" Savinksi, Betty's old boyfriend, shows up and starts causing trouble for J. Jonah Jameson He's been given super strength by the mob and he's trying to help them buy a controlling share in the Daily Bugle. Spider-Man beats him up.

The best line is "You could have just let your little frame-job tighten around Jonah - let him sweat for a while - but no, you were so eager to prove how valuable you are, with your cool new super-powers, that you go impatient, over-played your hand - and what was a neat little scam turned into nothing but a big fight". Betty overcomes her fears at the end and agrees to testify against Gordon.

Eddie Brock is a reporter working for the Daily Globe who questions Jonah after he is released from bail after being arrested as part of Gordon's frame-job.

Is it just me or does Gordon look kind of like Peter from the MC-2 universe?

It's not just you. I picked this issue up in real time, and I thought he looked very much like Peter.

I haven't read a lot of the MC-2 books. I guess the similarity is just due to Pat Olliffe's art style?
