Review/plot: Having been captured in ASM annual #1, Octopus escapes from the courthouse...

Dr. Octopus sets up shop in Aunt May's neighborhood in Forest Hills. And Aunt May recognizes him from when he abducted her in the ASM annual, but she still doesn't realize that she was kidnapped.

Doc Ock's plan is to blackmail the city with a flying bomb. He operates out of the warehouse where Spider-Man captured the burglar who killed Uncle Ben. That gets Spidey mad and he puts a stop to Octavius.

The quality of UTOS is starting to drop as we see scripters being brought in to help Busiek.

Comments

After Spidey catches Ock, Ock starts mumbling about getting a better hideout next time, foreshadowing his much more carefully concealed lair in the Master Planner story from ASM #31-33.

At the end of the issue, Aunt May talks about her friend Anna "Watkins" and Peter thinks about how she's misremembering her best friend's name. Funny way to clear up the Watkins/Watson confusion from the old stories.
