Review/plot: Spidey convinces Batwing to visit Doc Connors, who is up from Florida to do a guest lecture. Connors accidentally gets exposed to Batwing's cure and turns back into the Lizard.

The Lizard released all the reptiles from the Bronx Zoo and plans to expose them to the chemical that will raise their intellect and make them into his army. Spider-Man and Batwing fight the Lizard and eventually are able to get him to take the antidote and change back into Connors. Batwing leaves for Florida with Connors. Meanwhile, Tiny shows up at school with a broken arm, and a mysterious villain named Commanda leaves Paris for New York, looking for a new challenge.

Fill-in art by Ron Frenz, and it's not as nice as Olliffe's, but it's not at all bad. Frenz's work on Spider-Man in the 80s had a kind of retro look to it at the time, and ironically his style in this retro book is more modern looking than that.

Given what you previously discussed about who was to "blame" for Frenz's flat-headed Peter during his ASM run ( http://www.supermegamonkey.net/chronocomic/entries/amazing_spider-man_256-258.shtml ), it's interesting to see his work in this issue with a different inker yet still Peter's head is flat.
