Review/plot:
This issue repeats a lot from Infinity Crusade #1, but the new material is delving into the mystery of who took Mr. Fantastic, since it was noted in that issue that he was taken by someone other than the Goddess. The answer is that it's Pip, who thought Reed would be a good resource since Adam Warlock, Gamora, and Moondragon have all gone missing.
Note that Pip is wearing a new costume since he thinks that he's the leader of what's left of the Watch.
Also note that Maxam recognizes Mr. Fantastic, another tick in the stringing along of the mystery of Maxam and his amnesia. There will be several such scenes during this crossover and i won't try to note them all.
Reed is able to activate the Eternal Orb in Warlock's room, and they see the Goddess.
They then go to join the rest of the heroes.
A lot of the issue is just Pip being a maniac, which is fun.
Still, i'd rather have that fun applied to an issue with an actual story, rather than just a few drips filling in the details of scenes we already saw in another book.

Chronological Placement Considerations: Takes place during Infinity Crusade #1. When trying to convince Drax to vote for him as leader, he asks, "Wasn't it just yesterday that [Maxam] punched you a quarter mile across the Atlantic Ocean?". That happened last issue. Now, Pip is just asking a question, and could be trying to mislead Drax, but barring any other evidence, i've moved Warlock and the Infinity Watch #16-17 forward in publication time to account for it having happened "yesterday".

What the hell is up with this art? It looks like something out of a Saturday morning cartoon, especially Drax. Reed's bug-eyed stare in the first scan looks hilarious.
Well, this IS a comedy issue. I do love Pip's antics here, and everyone else's reactions.
Angel Medina's art is definitely in the cartoony side. It is not as bad here as it used to be in Dreadstar.
I like this art. Compared to all the cross-hatching and brokepack poses and grimaces with dozens of teeth that set upon superhero comics by the 1990s, it's great to watch an artist with clean lines and actual cartooning skills.
Count me in as liking the art too. Pip's new costume is one of the few good new costumes of the 90s! I mean, the codpiece alone...
Pip says that Maxam punched Drax into the ocean "yesterday", so should Infinity Watch #16-17 be moved to a later point? Those issues have no continuity considerations.
