Review/plot:
Another fill-in, this one using the device of an integrated framing sequence to bring in an inventory story that takes place while the Statue of Liberty was being repaired.

Spider-Man had left some personal effects in the Statue's torch, and then it was taken away to California for a parade. Peter Parker convinces Joe Robertson to let him go to California to photograph the parade. Meanwhile, a group of guacamole enthusiasts decide to steal the torch.

In addition to guacamole, they have really strong feelings about caviar.

Hijinx ensue...

...and it turns out that the torch in California was really a duplicate, and the real one was still in New York all along.

A C?! How can you rate this a C. I'd say at least a C+. I thought this story was pretty funny. I actually thought it was written by PAD. Nice fill-in by Bob Layton.
