Review/plot:
Peter David's last issue of Spider-Man is appropriately a crossover with the Hulk, making this a hand-off to his new focus.

Spidey is in Las Vegas as part of Peter Parker's photobook tour. Swinging around town as Spider-Man, his spider-sense briefly goes off, indicating to him that he is in a gunner's sights. He doesn't see the gunner, but we do: Delta, talking about the Warzone survival games.

We meet the other players of the game too, including Puck's big brother.

Marlo's in this issue too...

...but the Hulk isn't interested in seeing her right now.

I include this scan to show Peter David's nod to an old Stan Lee flub of Peter Parker's name.

And this is pretty funny too.

With "Joe Fixit" having given her the brush off, Marlo decides to go meet Peter, who is taken from his television interview to a book signing.

But before she gets there, the Warzone games start up.

And these guys turn out to be more than just Mad Max refugees with weapons.

Marlo gets knocked out during the fighting, and Spider-Man rushes her to a hospital where her friend Mona is a nurse. Mona calls Mr. Fixit, who initially says he doesn't care.

But he does show up to help Spider-Man.

Actually, he's really just interested in the woman that hurt Marlo, and is ready to let another one of the Warzone players shoot her. But of course Spider-Man isn't ok with that, and intervenes, only to find out that Mr. Fixit is the Hulk.

The Warzone stuff is pretty outlandish, but there's a lot of humor here and a good lead in for those "confused" or "excited" enough to follow the story over to the Hulk side.

Comments

That "Who?" comment by Peter may be Peter David taking a backhanded swipe at Byrne, considering they'd been having issues ever since Alpha Flight #12.

I have found a comic book in plastic and I was wondering what the value would be, Web of Spider-man "Reunion" Vol. 1 No. #44 November 1988 ( ISSN 0887-9702)
If there is anyone who can help me with finding the value of this comic , that would be great. Please email me.
