Web of Spider-Man #48Issue(s): Web of Spider-Man #48 Review/plot: Also in the streets is Eduardo Lobo, defending Glory Grant with super-human prowess. And also fighting demons is the Kingpin, although he really just wants to go back into his room to obsess over Daredevil. And we've got Jason Macendale lamenting his new demon eyes while the Lizard rampages around. Spider-Man makes his way to where he knew Mary Jane was supposed to be working, and finds (as we saw in the past two Spidey issues of Inferno) that she and the photo crew had to fight their way into the sewers to escape the demon rampage. And she's still doing an admirable job keeping the crew together and safe. Spidey follows, but finds the Hobgoblin instead. Spider-Man finds that he's faster and stronger than the last time they fought, and realizes that he's in trouble. Especially when he sees that the Hobgoblin mask is barely necessary. Luckily, MJ is still in the tunnels and she shows up to help. Hobgoblin winds up getting caught in a gas explosion and is out of the picture at least for now. Nice to see MJ kicking a little ass. And i'm realizing that the disappointing Goblin fight in Amazing Spider-Man #312 was probably designed to illustrate the difference between a non-powered Goblin and a powered one (either by super-formula or demon energy). Meanwhile, outside of Manhattan, Aunt May talks to Harry Osborn and finds out that he last saw Peter "hours" ago. So she decides to go into the city to look for him. Quality Rating: C+ Chronological Placement Considerations: This continues pretty much directly from Spectacular Spider-Man #147, and Amazing Spider-Man #313 is the next Spidey Inferno issue. I'm placing the Kingpin's appearance here after Daredevil #263, but that's arbitrary. References:

Comments"No, thinks Gloria. He is MORE than a man. Her mouth goes dry as she watches him LEAP..." Conway missed his calling writing for Harlequin. Posted by: Robert | August 28, 2014 5:56 PM It's possible Kingpin's appearance here could take place during Daredevil #263 between his being informed of demons pouring into New York and Typhoid Mary visiting him with a demon companion.
