Wolverine #9Issue(s): Wolverine #9 Review/plot: ![]() ...that are on the run from Wolverine... ![]() ![]() ...because five years earlier they were part of a mercenary group that invaded the US Embassy in Iraq and tortured a Canadian nun... ![]() ...while Wolverine was still in the Weapon X program. ![]() ![]() The whole issue is a reminiscence from Wolverine while he's in Madripoor. ![]() Peter David does get in that ex-friends pun, but i like how he sets things up as a basically horror story from the perspective of the guys Wolverine is hunting, which works perfectly for Colan's art. Quality Rating: B Chronological Placement Considerations: The MCP has Wolverine #4-16 between Uncanny X-Men #243-245 (Wolverine doesn't appear in #244). Just to avoid breaking up my Wolverine Classic vol. 2 trade, i've placed this directly after the previous issues. References: N/A Crossover: N/A Continuity Insert? N My Reprint: Wolverine Classic vol. 2
CommentsNote that the point is that Wolverine is after them not because they raped the nun but because what they did destroyed her capacity for love and forgiveness, which Wolverine considers worse then killing or raping her.
